There are two ways to qualify for free meals:
Eligibility Due to Year (R, 1, 2):
Ensure that your child’s class is correctly listed in your profile. To check which class your child’s user is connected to:
Go to your profile.
Click the pencil icon next to your profile.
If the class is incorrect, follow the steps below:
If your child is in the wrong class:
Contact the school and ensure that your child's class is correctly listed in their system.
Once the data has been updated in the school system, it will take a few days for our system to fetch the data.
After the data is successfully connected, your child will appear in the correct class.
Your meals will now be updated to £0.
2. Eligibility Due to Income Group:
If you are being charged for meals but believe you should qualify for free meals, please verify that the school has the correct information on file. Once the school updates the details, we will ensure that the data is correctly reflected in the system.
What If I’ve Paid for Meals That Should Have Been Free?
If you have paid for meals that were supposed to be free, please contact the catering administration for assistance. You can also reach out to Kanpla through the technical chat in the app, and we will provide you with the correct contact information.
